That will play FF14ARR on medium to high settings. A link would be appreciated!

should run it pretty reasonable since i know it can play alot of newer games on medium to high with no problems.

Yeah but look at the resolution. 1366x768

Also from a review of the 740m in this laptop (not even a gaming card to begin with. It's a multimedia level card) :

This is the absolute worst version of the GT 740m graphics out there. It is the GK208 chip with the 64-bit memory bus and it uses DDR3 memory. This card is incredibly bandwidth starved and performance drops are HUGE with any kind of anti-aliasing turned on. You're going to be playing all your games without any AA. It truly is a crying shame this didn't come with 1gb of GDDR5 instead of 2gb of DDR3. I mean seriously, what game is going to use 2gb of DDR3 on a 64-it bus? High clock rates cannot save this card as the cores are constantly starved. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Compared to Radeon 8750m, this card is slower and closer to performance of AMD's 8650g integrated graphics. No joke.

For that price it's about the best you can do, but if you can afford better certainly do so.

Gamefaqs game rating system : 10 = Best Game Ever. 8-9. Crushing dissapointment. Below 8 :Total Garbage. This is getting ridiculous. people agreeing so far 105

well here is one for a good bit more that will definitely run it on high and any other game for that matter.
price is higher at 1500 bucks but worth it for that sort of laptop

better price and still a decent laptop.... just not going to last you as long.

if i had a choice i would buy the first one i listed here....desktop at that price though would be way way better.

Those are some solid options. I like those. A little more pricey in Canada. I'm liking the second as it's 14" as opposed to 17". I've had a 17" laptop before and it's just too big haha.
