Return to WoW or pick up Final Fantasy?

#1LokiHero2Posted 9/14/2013 1:06:13 PM(edited)
I haven't played WoW since Cata and in that expansion I only played for about a month or two before I got bored. I am worried that if I pick up MoP I might get bored of it just as fast. Though the thing about WoW is it has a lot of active players and won't be dead anytime soon.. whereas a new MMO like FF might die fast.

That being said, how is Final Fantasy? Do you think it's worth the $30 to try it out? Is the combat smooth and responsive?

Thanks.

That video is a pretty good un-biased "review". You can tell there are systems and gameplay elements that they clearly have a problem with. You can tell they aren't drinking the Final Fantasy kool-aid, but still have MMO experience.

They also says some parts of the game are flat-out "boring".

Don't play an MMO man. Think about all the games you can play if you just don't pick it up.

for the cost of a yearly sub you could get a bunch of games in the winter or summer steam sale and many other random sales

For me, playing an MMO isnt about the monthly or upfront cost.

It's the opportunity cost of not doing other things. All the time wasted grinding and doing quests when you could be productive or play other games that have a far higher fun/time ratio.
