Looking to build a gaming PC for the first time.

I would love to get some help in picking parts that fit within maybe a 1200 dollar budget. The budget is a bit flexible but I would rather not spend much more than 1200. Also I would prefer an nvidia card as I have had some problems in the past with AMD.

I already have a keyboard/mouse and monitor. Gonna need to buy the OS and if all the parts come together for fairly cheap I could also go for a 120hz monitor. Thanks in advance for any help I receive.

There's nothing wrong with using Windows 7 by the way.
