The thing that intimidates me away from cs go, is the lack of single player campaign. I could use that for practice

The community is friendly, and it's not as complex as it seems, it's actually got some really simple modes. Try it.

This. If anything host a private bot match and practice the game modes/spray patterns and get your feet wet.

SP modes are pretty much useless for practice in any shooter.
