Looking for new monitors ($600 budget)

#1KunkWRXPosted 9/15/2013 9:48:27 AM
So I am looking for two new monitors to replace my current setup. Below are my PC specs. I am looking for two monitors. One to be used as the main screen gaming and such and another to control iTunes, Firefox, w/e... I have a $600 budget. Size I am looking for no smaller then 23 but I could go a little bigger. I would like another monitor either the same one, or same size. What do you all recommend?

I guess I would need something with DVI-D, because my GPU (EVGA 480) only has a mini HDMI and two DVI-D slots. By all means to I don't HAVE to spend $600. If I could go less than I will.

Just get one of these and keep one of your current ones as your second monitor. From your description, your second monitor doesn't need great picture quality. Since it's just used for basic stuff. Then your main monitor for viewing things can be a much better monitor.

That's effectively my setup, except I bought one of them korean monitors. Got lucky with a good quality one. Since your budget is $600 though, might as well go for a better quality one. You will need a better gpu for gaming at that resolution though.

And if you hear as the warm night falls. The silver sound from a time so strange. Sing to me, sing to me.

I like the look of that. I'm not looking to upgrade my GPU though, so how strained would I be at that resolution? Games I play are FFXIV:ARR, Civ 5, and probably Elder Scrolls Online.
