ok cool, so it is ok to screw the screws into those bumps on the case near the top. I just don't wanna fry this thing and they felt metallic haha. But having those bumps as standoffs I was able to fill the other holes with the actual standoffs so it must be alright

As long as something is elevating the board so it isn't flush with the motherboard tray you should be good. Worse comes to worse you can always hit up a local computer shop and get those uber cheap plastic standoffs. --- 3570k @ 1.260v - 4.6Ghz, GTX 580 @ 980/2106, ASUS Sabertooth z77, 8GB G.Skill Sniper 1600MHZ, Intel 335 SSD (boot).
sorry, but I have another issue, I cannot get the i/o shield to line up with the ports on the mobo. If I put the shield on from the inside out like you are supposed to and snap it into place, then the audio ports on the mobo are too high to fit in the hole when I set the mobo on the standoffs.

I just used 2 of the 4 standoffs, and basically have 2 screws on the bump side, and 2 screws on the opposite side of the mobo where I have 2 standoffs. I took the 2 in the middle out, and now it does fit in the i/0 shield. but is it gonna be alright to leave those other 2 holes resting on the middle screw holes? That won't hurt anything will it?
