Is there anything I can do about YouTube?

On my home network (Cox,) it streams for absolute ****. It hardly buffers at all and is an absolute chore to use. Where as if I sit on my couch with my cell phone and stream through my 3G connection, it's absolutely fine. Nothing else on my home network lags at all. I can be laying in bed watching "HD" Netflix, and no issues whatsoever. Try to load a non-HD Youtube video, and it's awful. What's the freaking deal?

Youtube is the deal. They're website is slow if you don't have a relatively powerful connection.

I can assure you my 3G connection is not more powerful than my wired (or wireless for that matter, I have an N900 dual band router) network connection and it absolutely runs better on my phone.

I have Gigabit ethernet throughout my house, doesn't mean I get Gigabit speeds off the internet. What speed is your connection?

your router speed has absolutely nothing to do with your internet speed
