The 7990 is more powerful but it's a dual GPU card. The Titan is the most powerful single GPU card at the moment. It really depends if you mind dual GPU cards, and if you are prepared to deal with the potential troubles they could bring. Every now and then games don't play so nicely with them.

It's not for me, is for a friend, he'll be using a 4k tv. I know the 7990 is more powerful but it can also have some problems because of the dual gpu. He wants a monster machine so I gave him those two options but I'm also looking for some recommendations. I told him to wait for the 9xxx series but he doesn't wants to wait.

If it's on a 4K TV, then forget the 780s. I'd go with SLI 770 4GB or the 7990.

For 4k I'd recommend going with the Titan, mainly for the VRAM. I doubt 3GB on the 7990 is really enough.

Where did you get that idea? At 4K, you likely won't be needing any AA either.

Will his tv accept input above 30 fps? I watched a review on that really cheap 4k tv a while back and a pair of 2gb 680s was a pretty solid 35-40fps in BF3's campaign. I really don't see more than 3gb being necessary. Personally I'd go with a 780 and save up a bit more for a second one down the line if he's considering a Titan.
