Does your CPU effect what GPU you should buy in any way?

Say if you have an AMD processor, are there any advantages to getting a Radeon GPU?

No but if you have a cheap CPU you might have problems with CPU intensive games regardless of how good your graphics card is.

If you get a APU processor from AMD, there is a benefit on getting a Radeon card, as they can work in a crossfire fashion to improve performance.

Other than that, Nope.

I wouldn't call Dual Graphics an advantage, it's a completely different beast from Crossfire and a bigger mess than xfire ever was. The list of games it works with could be summed up on fingers and toes and the list of games it's a detriment to grows every day.

>_> Well I'm using an A10-6800k and the best GPU for me is the Radeon 7950.

So...
Should I crosswhatever? ._. How do I do it and what complications could arise?

This is not remotely true. Dual graphics works on all DX11 games the way it was intended too. The only games it does not affect is DX9. Some games like with all dual gpu setups can have stuttering ect, but that's to be expected.

The best you can use is a 6670. So you may as well buy a better discreet gpu if you plan on gaming heavily at high resolutions and settings.

apu can only crossfire with HD 6670 and even then you will see like a 8% increase in performance in about a dozen of games.
as for complications: if a game is not optimized for xfire then it will use the slowest gpu (apu), stutter or even lower performance than if you just used 1 gpu.
dont cross, its not worth it.
buy the 7950 and disable the apu in the bios.

Every game is going to stutter if dual graphics is active. The GPUs take turns drawing frames and the 6670 is going to be significantly faster meaning every other frame comes 30% faster or slower than the previous one. It's not like SLI where the GPUs work together to draw the same frame (I assume xfire is the same but I dunno). Unless you're just blind to it it's nonstop stutter by design.

It's also nowhere near compatible with every DX11 game unless by compatible you mean "doesn't crash"
