I saw this game came out and thought of it odd of rarely anything bad said about it. I bought it but wasn't disappointed.
It's like Dragon Age meets XCOM: Enemy unknown meets Dota2
Like dragon age because you are given a few party members who are different but you can only use 4 at a time. Each with their own skill tree. Action RPG with in combat pausing.
Like Dota2 where you are only given 4 powers with long cooldowns with high resource cost. You don't have enough resource to use more than 2 at an instant time.. so you have to be mindful. It even uses the QWER default binds lol.
Like XCOM where as regardless of which battle you fight, you can lose if you fall asleep just doing anything... even when you fight easy random minions. This game is VERY tactical. You can't just tank and spank. Requires a lot of moment and seeing the abilities your enemy is using or about to use to move out the way or interrupt him.
I find this game refreshing with the difficulty being frontloaded into your tactics rather than RNG, high damage-high HP mobs, or other silly things.
EDIT: Forgot to add the few cons.
It's a low budget game, so don't expect super graphics and other shinny stuff. This game is like 90% gameplay and 10% story. So just enough story to make it not be just some dungeon crawler.
That's all so far I see. --- Never forget.... Building #7
