power supplie and 7870 crossfire

looking for a cheap power supply for a back up pc that I am giving to a friend and also if it would better to have my brother get a 7970 or just crossfire his 7870's. I looked at a few comparisons and it seems like the dual 7870's are a bit better and a cheaper option as well. the power supply is going to be used on a 965 with a 6850. I found a few cheaper ones, but I wasnt sure if they are worth a damn or not.

As far as the Crossfire goes, I would still suggest upgrading to a 7970 for the VRAM. Although, Crossfire 7870s can be a monster jump.

hes trying to get ready for BF4 and I though maybe a crossfired 7870 should do the trick for him.

I would still suggest a single 7970 for VRAM due to the recommended specs for BF4.
