fraps says it's running at 60fps but I'm more than 100% sure the frame rate is dropping all over the place.

I hope Prototype 2 isn't like this.

So you have a program designed in part to tell you your FPS but you have decided that your mega cyborg human eyes are better at judging this than the program.

dude I know what I saw. It hits 60 but then it drops for sure. the frame rate is really jumpy.

it's probably sutter, which can seem like a frame rate drop, but won't be recognized by something like FRAPS.

it's a lot of stutter too. I've have been searching google and some people say to disable HID devices to stop the stutter.

Try to disable V-Sync if you havent done so already, maybe it will help?

yeah but I get horrible screen tearing. I'll probably disable all HID devices and force triple buffering and vsyn with D3DOverrider
