I'd consider my PC to be roughly equal.

PS4 GPU is similar to a 7850, which is like a 570....maybe closer to my 580 if its power is underestimated. Definitely stronger than xbone GPU, which is probably closer to my old 5850.

Phenom II is a 3.4 GHz AMD quad core...a little older, not top of the line architecture anymore. However, the jaguar cores are based on netbook technology, and not great either. With a 1.6-1.75 GHz 8 core CPU, I think it's fair to say the CPU is in the ballpark of my phenom II...somewhere...give or take.

I have 8 GB RAM, not GDDR5, but meh.

I do think it's fair to say the PS4 and my rig are within the same ballpark of one another. Give or take a little bit from either.

I think my GPU is just about the same as a PS4's ability, right guys? But what about my CPU & or other specs? How does my overall rig compare to the new upcoming consoles?

Your CPU's way better, you have more RAM (10 GB total), but your GPU's about on-par with the PS4 I believe, maybe a little weaker. Should be a little more powerful than the Xbone's though

who cares what console is most powerful? all that matters is game quality. most of the best pc games of the past few years are low requirement or indie games. and the best console by far has been 3ds.. also wii u is looking to be the only console of the non portables to have any exclusives worth a darn.. though it did take them quite a while to start getting a few.

i5 3570k @ 4.4ghz
8GB DDR3 1600 RAM
2x Radeon HD 7950 3GB

Mine is far more powerful. The only advantage the PS4 has is the 8GB GDDR3 RAM. My PC should make it through the majority of the generation. It probably won't start showing its age until DX 12 comes out.
