Are there any metroidvania style games on Steam?

http://store.steampowered.com/app/205730/ is a good game. Catch it when it's on sale, because it's not very long.

Give Rogue Legacy a look, it's a metroidvania Roguelike.

Although it's not a roguelike.

La Mulana is a really fun game, but... expect to need to check a walkthrough more than oncej.

- Dust: AET. It's kinda neat and has great background art + music, but not really that good from a gameplay perspective. Combat's way too simple and you can basically "fly" through 90% of the game. And if you dislike anthropomorphs, well, the characters here look straight from DeviantArt. There are much better designs for furry characters.

- La Mulana. Already mentioned.

- Chasm should be coming to Steam soon, and it seems pretty good judging by the demo. Another "retro" styled game though.

- Not Steam, but: The Megaman ZX and Castlevania DS series are quite good and don't require much touch screen use...

There's only one Castlevania game on Steam

And it plays like Devil May Cry.

Actually more like God of War, but yeah, it's far removed from metroidvania.

If it's on consoles I'd rather get it there. Unless of course it has exclusive content and features on PC.

I'm currently playing La-Mulana and I love the style and setting, but I find it extremely hard and frustrating in some parts. I was stuck for like 2 hours on Ellmac till I finally managed to beat it, but boy I wanted to throw my controller out of the window a few times.
