It should be coming to Steam in a few hours. Quick note that this is on early access because it requires a joypad. They'll be adding keyboard and mouse support later and fixing bugs as it goes on.

Whats the word on these early accesses? IS it something that is worth investing in? Never done one before.

My suggestion: Wait for Steam sale.

Also, the game is currently controller only, so keep that in mind.

3D, 3rd person, no keyboard & mouse support.

Wait, what?

Really?

Whatever.

Ask for money when you got your controls up.

SoD runs on Cryengine 3 which has a suite in the license software that lets you port to Ps3/PC/360 bilaterally. Basically what they did was use this software to optimize it for PC specifics and than ship it to Steam for certification. Once financing comes in to the team they'll probably (But not guaranteed) actually make it a PC game including kb&m, mods, and great CE3 graphics.

Well you get access to the beta version of the game, but you will also be given the full version of the game too. You save a bit of money as it is sold at a slight discount.

It's only worth investing if you really want to play the game now. This game's early access is missing keyboard and mouse support though as already mentioned, but it will be added later in the beta.

That's pretty reassuring. Wasn't aware of the engine, but I'll wait and see how it runs for others.

Greg Miller?

I think the game looks cool. The developers have been very informative about this early release, stating it's 360 controller only, it will have issues, please do NOT bother with the early access if you can't handle that kind of thing. I respect that from a developer. They're basically saying,"Here is our game if you want to play it early and help us out, but if not, that's cool too. Hope to see you on release."

That's what "Early Access" should all be about. There's really no reason to NOT have early access. It's just an option for the gamer to play the game earlier, and for the developer to get early feedback while still in development. As long as the gamers don't judge the early access condition of the game, it's all good.

Actually, this one isn't discounted... For whatever dumb reason...
