Walked past these in a park in Dundee last month.

Wonder if they're going to put up a GTA memorial anytime.

17. Fade to Black (unfortunatelly, I've played this POS)

I am in the minority who likes this game. It was much better with a controller due to the Tomb Raider-like controls

Nice list, but there are way too many duplicates.

I haven't seen a single duplicate. Two games from the same series, yes (like Gobliiins 1 and Gobliins 2), but not even one duplicate.

EDIT: Ok, I've noticed that there's only ONE duplicate: both pics of Goblins are from Gobliins 2 (the first Gobliiins has 3 playable characters, while 2 has only 2).

Still, one is NOT TOO MANY.

I didn't see jazz jackrabbit the first time I went through the gallery... I was sorely disappointed until I scrolled back up.

Never played the original but the sequel was one of my favorites

It was my favorite game for years 2-3 years. Preceded by 'Mixed up Mother Goose'

That looks like Duke Nukem II if I recall correctly.

It definitely is Duke Nukem II!

Dang. I didn't know I liked Duke Nukem before 3D. I liked that game quite a bit but it was pretty tough. At least it was back then.

Wow

PC games really sucked in the 90's.

You can buy a $500 console and a $500 computer and have two crap machines, or you can spend $1000 building your own computer and have the best of both worlds.

I'm really hurt by your comments.

I'll go enjoy my vastly superior League of Legends and World of Warcraft while you sit there with your nostalgia glasses.

If you really think LoL and WoW are superior to those games, you REALLY shouldn't be on this topic, boy.

:p

One thing you fail to understand is that most games you see in this list where amazing in their time, VASTLY more innovative than games like COD, WOW and LOL. And the best part: they are still fun to play nowdays!

Another World with its amazing way to tell a story without a single word spoken the entire game predates ICO as a game I would consider real art;

Alone in the Dark, a game that predates Resident Evil by a few years, gave us a nice blend between action and adventure, 2d and 3d;

Commanche 3 with its amazing graphics (for its time), showing fantastic 3D environments;

Commander Keen, while being a generic platform game, proved that PCs could handle a game like Mario without making you wish for a Snes;

The classic point-and-click adventures, showing that it was possible to tell amazing storylines in games, ages before console games had stories;

Warcraft 2, showing how simple a strategy game can be while still being fun, while CIvilization proves that strategy games can be complex enough without being boring;

Nah man, games where AMAZING in the '90. It was the best decade for PC gaming, and it paved the way to everything we have now.

Tell me, on the other hand, what makes LoL and WoW superior to any of those games! Tell me in what way they changed the gaming world for the better. Tell us: are they revolutionary games in ANY way?
Will people remember them in any way, a few years in the future?
