360 Chat Pad

#1SavageDonzillaPosted 9/20/2013 5:37:44 PM
Has anyone using a 360 controller for their PC tried using one of the chat pads?

If so, did it work?
3rd party app or default?

Would be nice for Steam in game and while I'm playing FFXIV.

I just keep the keyboard right next to me. Saves me money and I'll type faster, anyway.

Aren't they just that? A keyboard?... Why do you want to use the chat pads?

I can try this tomorrow and will be trying it (I always keep the chat pad on my controller anyway... It just feels... firm).

My bet is that it wouldn't work.

It might work in a GFWL game. Like when messaging someone in Dark Souls.

There's no point. You'll just get frustrated at the tiny buttons and use your keyboard instead.

There is a 3rd party driver if you're using a wired controller and I don't believe they have released a working driver for use worth a wireless pad yet. There is NO OFFICIAL MICROSOFT DRIVER AT ALL.
