Pfft, forget mechanical keyboards. Buy yourself 17 30mm arcade buttons and put together your own, using a membrane keyboard as a base. Or, yeah, just try switches until you know what you like and buy something with those.
Mouse, I usually see the deathadder 2013 recommended, and it's what I'd use if I wasn't content with my $8 thing.
edit: Oh, and as for flat keys on keyboards. They generally come in two kinds, scissor switch or chiclet. Chiclet ones became popular because Apple used them on their laptops and everyone wants to imitate them. Scissor switch keys are still used on cheaper laptops and they last longer than most membrane keyboards because they have a small spring which assists in lifting the key back up, letting you keep it closer to the switch and use a smaller membrane. Lets 'em last longer and have a shorter stroke than older style membranes, but have no real benefit for gaming. --- Once we perfect building Mechs, I expect there to be a factory in Mexico pumping out a brand call Mechsican. I wanna buy me a Mechsican. steamid: Rohchya
Keyboard: No idea. I use a crappy logitech one. Ive used a BlackWidow and its nice. Really loud though. --- Alex, I'm trying to start a troll topic. Stop destroying my credibility here. - hypersonic2000
Deathadder 2013 has a great sensor, no accel/prediction, same as Deathadder 3G. It is Razer though so Build Quality is questionable. --- http://www.steamcommunity.com/id/daylecman Phenom II X6 1075T @ 3.5GHz - 4GB DDR3 - 120GB SSD - GTX 460 1GB - Blackwidow Ultimate
