Just for my games to look uber sexy, but I need to start saving so I was wondering if I should go for the higher one

The IPS monitor if you want richer colours and better viewing angles.

The 144Hz TN monitor if you want smooth action.

If you have the graphics horsepower, 1440p all the way.

Well, if your most played games are fast-paced and/or shooters where you'd benefit from the extra FPS, then that. Honestly though, most games are better with a 1440p monitor. I have both (well, a 120Hz monitor, not 144) and use the 1440p for the vast majority of games. The 120Hz basically gets used for CSGO and the like.

I think that's misleading, really. The 1440p monitor won't appear not-smooth since it's still 60Hz, and frankly, you will likely not really notice the effect of 120Hz in most games. As I said, it comes down to what you play most. If you're a semi-competitive FPS player, then 144Hz would be great. But really, if you want your games to look "uber sexy" then the 1440p monitor is a no brainer.
