So as you can see in my sig what I have already, how much if a difference would this be?

http://www.pricegrabber.com/computers/misc++alienware-14-alw14-1870slv-gaming-laptop/m-1267972461/

Intel Core i7-4700MQ
8GB DDR3 RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M with 1GB GDDR5
750GB SATA 3Gb/s (7,200 RPM) Hard drive

How much of a difference would it be for gaming?

That would be a waste of money.

It'd be a waste of money if I traded the one I have now in my sig plus $250 cash for the newer one to my friend?

650m and 750m are the same chip.

It comes down to dual core i5 or quad i7. But I don't think that's worth $250.

What about if I only had to trade this & $50, would it be worth the small upgrade then?

Depends on which game it is. If it's something that likes 4 cores and not just 4 threads; you'll get a bump in performance.

$50 would probably be worth it though.
