I don't like the Ghz edition's price mark up to be honest. 7970s OC very well as it is. $290 vs $365 after rebates is a big $75 premium to pay when you stand a very good chance of being able to OC a standard 7970 to near or equal to the GHz models.


It's true. Actually, some OC models are already at GHz speeds with Boost. So, the distinction makes no difference.

Radeon 290X is suppose to be releasing soon. It's suppose to be comparable to the titan for 599. There's also a new 6 core Extreme line Intel processor being released soon. Those 2 parts could probably carry you a long way with your build and you could cheap out on everything else.

get a 7990 and a i5 build around that... it's the best you'll get.
