I want to get a gaming PC. Anyone here willing to help me out?

Download Origin, add me, and i'll give you 3 free Steam games, don't question me, just do it if you want the free games.

Free Steam games for downloading Origin? Why not free Origin games

There are a handful of games that need an extreme system to max out completely, but I'd say 95% of them can be maxed out by a PC that you spend about $800-$1000 on.

What if I wanted to get Mass Effect 2 running at 60FPS/1080p?

Unreal 3 engine games can be maxed easily at 60 fps these days.

Oh... Cool. So if that link that the first poster gave me is legit... I should be able to max it out with that? I want a really good PC,but imma be realistic. There is an EXTREMELY slim chance my parents would pay for one that is 800-1000$.

Didn't read the whole article but i5, 8 GB ram, 660TI, yeah you can easily max with that.

660 TI can max most recent games in fact. Won't be able to max some games coming out this holiday season and early next year, but high is good enough if you can't run ultra.

Cool. The reason I bring up Mass Effect 2 is because I tried to play it on my PS3 before. It was fun, but the framerate always bothered me. Most things just seemed choppy and it really detracted me from the experience. I was powering through until I saw my friend play it at 60FPS on his PC and I just couldn't go back to it on my PS3 :p

Here's one I put together for $795. It's not a beast, but it's a good value for the money.

You should go with a 7950 for $30 more.

Yeah like I said.... My parents probably wouldn't go that high. I had a job over summer for a bit but I definitely don't have time for one now.

Consoles are always gonna have capped fps. Looks like you're a PC gamer now.

And before anyone blasts me about the new consoles, they will be obsolete in a couple of years and they will have to do these sorts of things like they did this generation.

What do you have to lose? An email address attached to your Origin account (which won't happen anyway)?

He's going to send you PMs when you friend him with activation codes for free games, don't see how any hacking happens.
