There was eight years between the release of Team Fortress and Team Fortress 2.

It's only been six years since the release of Episode 2.

1996: TF
1999: TFC
2007: TF2
all which are on different engines

6 + 2 + 1 = 9
2007 + 9 = 2016
2 + 0 + 1 + 6 = 9

3 goes into 9 3 times

Half-Life 3 confirmed for 2016 release.
