I put Steam into offline mode, hopefully they won't be able to un-update it if I just stay there until I'm done with it. Seems to be working fine still.

Steam won't remove the files. These expansion DLC's are essentially giant mods. You'll only lose the files if you remove the game.

Damn, you're right. That's... rather lax, considering how uppity things have become in terms of licenses and keys and whatnot.

I am online, I have Skyrim and hearthfire (along with the texture pack DLC) but nothing is downloading. And skyrim is set to update automatically.

I never got it :( It looks like it's for most people and not all.

Were you (And anyone else that didn't get it), logged into the Steam client in Online mode around when this topic was made?

Because literally *every* person my friends list showed owning it for a period there.

I've had my computer online and logged in on steam since 4pm CST today. The topic was made 2 hours ago which is plenty of time.

Looking closely just now, Skyrim had a 600+ mb download today. But whenever I go to properties > DLC on skyrim, only the high resolution pack shows. No Dawnguard DLC.

WERE you online 2.5 hours ago and NOT playing a game? That is when it started downloading for me.

It won't. Check your steam files. Check in the skyrim/data folder. Should be there.

Showing up in the DLC tab has already come and gone. Check your Downloads list to see if a Skyrim update is listed, or as DV8 said, check your game folder to see if the files are there.

The content showed up briefly in the DLC list, but that's already been corrected and removed as such. However, the files remain for anyone who actually downloaded it.

Yep, I checked, there's the dawnguard files. DIdn't recognized that they fixed it but I still have the .bsa and .esm files. Thanks.

How strange this is. Well I have the dawnguard files, I can boot with it and hearthfire and mods for either. We just have to be careful to not delete skyrim from our systems and or if we do have backups of the dawnguard files, eh?

I have Dawnguard .bsa and .ism in my folder, I assume that is it. I saw it downloading earlier but thought nothing of it until I saw this topic.
In my history it shows Steam "Complimentary"
