7870 crossfire

reposting here so more people will see
hello i have 2 7870s that im trying to crossfire but the crossfire tab wont show up
i have 2 of these

i have a z87-c motherboard

i have installed the latest bios/chipsets from the asus website and the latest amd drivers
things ive tried:
uninstalling/wiping folders/regedit and installing with just one card in both slots then shutting down and installing the other card with the crossfire bridge and turning back on

uninstalling/wiping folders/regedit with both cards with the crossfire bridge on and reinstalling

both card seems to work just fine on there own in both the first and second slot and ive set the second slot to x4 in bios
ive tried the crossfire brdige that came with both cards

nothing has worked so far does anyone have any ideas what i need to do

That's weird. Also, you're mobo only does x16/x4 crossfire. No good.

Haven't you had this problem for a while, or are you a different guy with the same mobo? Have you tried calling Asus?

nothing in any other pci slots and they both show up in device manager/catalyst hardware info but in ccc one is "disabled adapter"
