Well Euro Truck Simulator 2 has a very large open world, and you can fantasize about whatever you want when you're on the road.

You can buy a $500 console and a $500 computer and have two crap machines, or you can spend $1000 building your own computer and have the best of both worlds.

Drakensang - The Dark Eye

Not really open world. Its actually quite closed in for 80% of the game. And quite linear.

Its still a good game though.

Sacred 2 bought it on release and hated it.
Risen 1 & 2 Didn't play the first, hated the second.
Gothic 3 Did they ever fix all the bugs on that one?
Divinity II: Dragon Knight Saga Already played it
Drakensang - The Dark Eye Totally not looking for something isometric.
Drakensang - The River Of Time
Two Worlds 1 & 2 I asked for good games and you dare mention Two Worlds? The first is one of the worst games I ever played and the second is mediocre at best.

Avernum 3 is pretty open. You need to follow the main story in order to access some locations but there is definitely a lot of exploring, wandering and adventuring too.
