I have discovered the deviousness behind SteamOS.

So, way back in the far-off year of 2006, the PS3 launched and had support for installing your own Linux OS on it. Sony eventually got rid of it, of course, but just think about it. You could stick SteamOS on one of the next gen consoles and, boom, suddenly it's streaming your PC games to your TV!

Or, ya know, Sony could continue to hate the homebrew community.

Once we perfect building Mechs, I expect there to be a factory in Mexico pumping out a brand call Mechsican. I wanna buy me a Mechsican.

Would the underwhelming CPU power of the PS4 be enough to effectively stream though?

Let's buy a 400$ device to play something that a 200$ device could do!

Clearly you wouldn't drop $400 on a PS4 just to stream PC games.

What would be even better is to stream games to your phone.

Ostensibly all you'd need is a device fast enough to stream video and send input, which is like, ~$100. I mean, check the requirements for Onlive, they're really low.

Obviously you'd need a PC that can actually play the games you're trying to stream though.
