Pay the $5. It is worth it.

Also do you want Battlefield 3?

You can buy a $500 console and a $500 computer and have two crap machines, or you can spend $1000 building your own computer and have the best of both worlds.

Basically all the games recommend don't require a gaming PC, that's the bad thing about PCs, very little tittles require a gaming PC so it makes hardware wasted, most of the good PC games are old or new, but run on toasters. Haven't got a decent game in a while

Spend $1,500 to play maybe 3 games, when a $800 PC could run the rest.

Do not get into MOBA, but if you have to I recommend Dota 2, because it's less.... P2W.

Other than that?

Starcraft 2
Team Fortress 2
Half Life 2
DOOM
Quake
Portal
Portal 2
Skyrim
Sonic Generations
Sonic Adventure DX
Sonic Adventure 2
Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed
Fallout 3 GOTY
Bioshock
Bioshock 2
Bioshock Infinite
System Shock 2 (Haven't played but I heard it's great.)
Emulation

Thank god the holiday season is coming up though, tons of games are about to come out which will utilize a beastly PC even more.
