With the annoying Google search on the New Tab page. Is this bothering anyone else? Seriously considering switching to Firefox now.

Just go to Firefox. I haven't looked back since I ditched Chrome for it.

Yeah, I'm mad, dawg.
You can buy a $500 console and a $500 computer and have two crap machines, or you can spend $1000 building your own computer and have the best of both worlds.

I didn't even see an update coming, it just one day appeared without warning. It's not really destroying the usability of the browser, but it's just plain ugly.

It's not bothering me because I'm not even using the default new tab page. I'm sure somebody has already created an extension to customize the new tab page to look like the old one.

Type 'about:flags' into web address bar and press enter.
Then ctrl+f (search page) for 'Enable Instant Extended API'.
Change the drop down box to Disabled.
A relaunch now button will appear, click that.
Then shazam! Old new tab page is back :)
I don't smoke dope, I don't drink bourbon, all I want to do is shake my turban.
