I'd actually be surprised if they wound up shipping these all over the world for this beta... I'd expect them to want to keep it confined to the US and Canada at least... Though I guess yeah, that would suck if you lived in Canada...

I applied for it but I really don't expect to use it... I don't even have a decent TV to run it on... I'd have to use a monitor...

Yeah, that's the thing this whole thing hinges on really... a friend of mine is in the market for a new gaming computer but he doesn't know enough about the hardware to build his own (or he doesn't care to) so he'd be in the market for one of these as well... If it costs more than $800 though, it's probably too much or he'd do better just to upgrade what he's got now.
