SteamOS vs HDMI cable for PC?

#1Semi45aPosted 9/25/2013 9:25:00 PM
Which is a better investment? To be able to play anything from the PC to a large screen TV or just steam games?

Regardless, SteamOS is free, and you'll probably want/need an HDMI cable anyway, so why not try both. Valve could use your (constructive) feedback.

But SteamOS will require additional hardware or a dual boot configuration which will knock down the compatible games to just Linux games so HDMI wins on that front too.

Both will suck for some games, like Crusader Kings 2 that just don't work well on the big screen because of the disparity between the pictures and text.

It won't require anything additional at all...it's just an OS.
