I used to have like 5 partitions doing various things. But after incompetently corrupting them a couple of times trying to install various unix OSs, I insist on having a separate OS drive now. I only have Windows on it and prefer using virtual machines for Linux work. I don't see the point in partitioning non-OS drives unless you specifically need a FAT partition or something.

I have 1 SSD drive for OS.
2x internal HDD for various things.
2x external HDD for movies/videos.

Every drive has 1 partition.

So you're not using any of your hard drive? Incroyable!

I used to have three on every one of my drives back when 300GB hard drives where top of the line, but who cares these days.

SSD OS drive, two TB drives for games and media.

So a partition is a hard drive? and not a section of the hard drive partitioned off? Incroyable!

Even if you partition the whole drive, it's still a section of the drive partitioned off.

On topic: 1. Windows and key applications on my SSD, games on a second hard drive, media on a third and emulators on a smaller 4th one. 1 partition per drive.

1x Windows 7
1x Windows XP... starting to wonder why I'm keeping this around though
1x Slackware

So three total... well four actually if you include Slack's swapfile partition.

All my games go on their own drive in one monolithic partition.
