Never forget.... Building #7
Nah I don't get them, only one I did get as an alpha was Minecraft. Played the alpha for quite a few hours but I was bored of it by the time the full game actually released.
I feel like playing alpha games just spoils the final game. Especially if it's a game with any story. I'd rather just wait.
Every time you point out that something is an opinion Jesus shoots a kitten in the face.
If I notice the developer are being active and honest with the community, the game looks very promising, and its a genre of game that interests me, I will gladly support the developer and enjoy a little of the game before the final game comes out. I think I have 5 games I got in early access and I've enjoyed the time I played with all of them. I usually don't play a lot before the whole game comes out especially since I got a huge backlog of games, but I usually play them for a good 5-10 hours. So far I haven't been disappointed, but I usually do a good deal of research on the developer and game before I buy.

Depends on whose making the game but the vast majority are bad.
Depends on the game, the specifics of the deal, and the developer. For instance, I'd have taken up the ARMA III offer if ARMA were more my type of series. Basically it comes down to requiring three things: a multiplayer heavy game, something I'd have been interested in regardless, and a decent set of discounts or other perks for early adoption.
If they asked how I died tell them: Still angry.
I tried to but only to felt burned a few times.
It just depends on the game, Normally no. but if it were something lIke Dragon age inquisition or, witcher 3 then probably yes
Drake the type of dude who understands were Skylar is coming from in Breaking Bad
I don't make a habit of it but some games I have kickstarted include alpha.
I am not economically viable.
Pre-order, Kickstarter, early access... More and more devs these days are trying to get you to part with your money before they even release their game. Pre-orders aren't too bad since the product is pretty much finished but the other two are terrible. I never spend money on a company that doesn't have a finished product. Games take way too long to produce to just assume they will produce anything at all or that it won't be a buggy mess or completely fail to deliver on it's promises. No, thank you.

Minecraft is an exception, it's been finished since Beta 1.7, otherwise, unless it's free, I don't touch it. Don't want to ruin to the experience.

Yeah, then I like to complain on forums about how incomplete the game is.
ADD, no. Where is the thread for Fallout OCD players?
