Because it's dark, damp, and cold in the basement?
Oh, you thought they made this game for you? You clearly bought the wrong game.

Single player games are few and far between

What? Most people have a large backlog because there are too many of them.

TC really doesn't understand the luxury of gaming in the living room because his parents keep yelling at him to finish his homework.

It's not a luxury to play on a TV unless you're a pheasant, any actual PC game is going to require you to be close to the screen.

And why would you want to purposely make everything look worse too? That's just silly

So only birds like to game on the TV?

Beat me to it.

I built an HTPC for my living room, though, it's used for more than gaming, I enjoy playing emulators and some console-style games on it.

I'm not going to check release dates, but some of what I've played in the last year (played all of these single-player):

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing
Don't Starve
DOTA 2
Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance
X3: Albion Prelude
Euro Truck Sim 2
Dishonored
Ys Origin
Ys Oath in Felghana
Borderlands 2
C&C3: Kane's Wrath
Prototype
Recettear
XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Dust: An Elysian Tail
Titan Quest: Immortal Throne
Torchlight 2
Lego LOTR
Lego Batman 2
Crysis 2
SpaceChem
Legend of Grimrock
Mark of the Ninja
Tropico 4
Scribblenauts Unlimited
Sonic All Stars - Transformed
Deponia
Air Conflicts: Pacific Carriers
Vessel
Aquaria
Quantum Conundrum
Governor of Poker 2
Reus
Galactic Civilizations II
Kerbal Space Program
Leviathan: Warships
Alice: Madness Returns
Back to the Future Ep 1
Sine Mora
Castle Crashers

And I know I've missed some. And that's just the games I've played in the past year or so. I have a LOT more in my pending list. So you can walk that little "single-player doesn't exist" attitude right on out of here. :)

I must not be a gamer. 95% of my gaming is single player stuff.

My TV is bigger than my monitor.

I don't want to lug my full tower case PC to the living room and back when I'm done.
