Well, I've downloaded 2 games from Origin so far, Burnout Paradise and Mass Effect 3. Mass Effect 3 would not boot until I did some research and found that I had to replace an obscure .dll file that Origin automatically downloaded.

So I'm sitting at a 50% success rate without fixing anything myself. Pretty unimpressive, but it could be that ME3 is the only defective game on Origin and my view is skewed.

that's the first game you've had trouble with? and how long have you been PC gaming?

I've never had an issue with origin. All my games run fine and the battlefield 3 premium code I bought from amazon activated fine. If you want to play battlefield 4 on pc do it. Don't let others ruin it for you if you haven't even tried it yourself.

What a load of bs.

I never had any problem with Origin, just download and play the damn game .. I don't use Origin for anything else (I mean, is there any other use? ) .. the service is always up .. so I'm not sure what's the issue here.

All my life I've wanted to be someone; I guess I should have been more specific.

There is nothing wrong with Origin apart from the company that owns it. Ignoring that EA owns it, it's almost as functional as Steam. It doesn't have such crazy sales and it doesn't give accurate download speeds, but that's about it. Origin is no reason to miss out on a game.

Good. Battlefield already has enough people with the mental capacity of tofu, don't need more. Your loss, not ours.

No, and I didn't claim it was. Re-read.

I've been PC gaming since 2000.

Honestly there's nothing to much wrong with Origin, it just lacks features that Steam has and is annoying as it's another bit of software that we are forced to install that no-one actually wants.

If you really wanted to play BF3\4 you would just install it anyway like everyone else has.

Uplay however can go and sod off, useless piece of trash.
