The NVIDIA 770 is $400. The AMD 7970 is around $300-350, and almost the same.

The games mentioned will run very well on a 760. You only need a 770 or 780 if you want 60fps on every game with near ultra settings.

It is worth it to me to rather get a gtx 770 rather than a 7970ghz because i feel Nvidia is more reliable on driver updates and overall reliability. Doesn't look like you can get it for under $400 though so I guess might as well get the 7970ghz.

I haven't gone AMD for 10 years but I recently bought a 770 and I dig it. It overclocks well and I've had zero issues with any of my games.

To put it's performance in perspective. At 1080p, I can max out Metro: Last Light aside from the SSAA and it runs at 50fps+ 99.9% of the time.

EDIT- The SSAO will cause a severe drop in a select few scenes that why I said 99.9% of the time.

That's the better choice for sure. I like nvidia a lot but the card pricing just isn't as competitive as it could be right now.

I've seen more driver issues with Nvidia as of late, and with mantle just around the corner it might be worth it. Plus, dat VRAM. 7970 all the way.
Fear is a leash.

Guys I want a nvidia in hopes skyrim won't stutter anymore... No AMD please. Want to move from my 7950 to a good nvidia card. What's better between 670, 760? How much of a leap is the 770?
