Needing some help with my motherboard and ram.

Wondering if anyone on here has a MSI motherboard that is or is similar to the MSI Z87-G45 Gaming LGA 1150 Intel Z87 motherboard that uses the same type of bios or is similar to it.

Reason being is some reason(just noticed it tonight), my ram which is a stick of Corsair XMS 8gb 240-pin DDR3 1600 (PC3 128000) isn't showing up in the bios, through Speccy, and through CPU-Z correctly.

It's showing running at only 1333mhz instead of at 1600mhz and can't figure out how to fix this up through the bios anywhere, I'm still getting used to the way the bios is as well so I could be overlooking or something. Just wanting to fix the problem, so if anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

EDIT: Bios is updated to only 1.30 and MSI updated it to 1.50 back on the 22nd, going to go ahead and update the bios to this.

Here's link to the motherboard info and stuff on MSI's website:

http://us.msi.com/product/mb/Z87-G45-GAMING.html#overview

And here's link to the ram I got through newegg.com:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233385

If there's no way to fix this, should I look into getting different ram and this time get two sticks of ram instead of just one full stick of 8gb, and if so, any good suggestions on what to get?

Hope I explained problem good enough, and thanks in advance for any help.

I don't have an MSI motherboard but on my Gigabyte BIOS I just go to frequency settings and change the profile of the RAM and it knows to change it from 1333 to 1600

Will go back into bios and look around a little more, but don't think I had a option to change it like that, unless it could be all under the OC part for some reason.

Going off of this video it seems like there's a Memory-Z setting in the OC part of your BIOS

Ok, thanks again for the help, going to wait and work on fixing this in the morning, too tired right now, so heading off to bed to get some rest.

Will do this bios update anyways first in the morning to see if it'll help any and will go to that part in bios and change it and let you know how it goes. :)

Couldn't sleep so went ahead and updated bios and changed the frequency, and it's what it should be. Thank you again for the help. ^_^
