Need advice getting computer monitors

#1r3sonancePosted 9/27/2013 9:41:14 PM
What should I get guys? this is coming from a guy that has been using his 3 year old T.V. as a computer monitor at 1360 x 768 Native resolution.

Recently upgraded my video card from a 6850 to 760 gtx pretty happy with the upgrade.

ATM im looking to replace my T.V.

Should I get a 27inch 1080p monitor or (2) 25inch 1080p monitors

the reason I am staying at 1080p and not upgrading to 1440p is because i know for a fact that my FPS will be significantly lower with my current video plus I dont wanna upgrade my 1 month old video card. I'm happy with a 1080p monitor.

I went to best buys yesterday to pick up this monitor to test out:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/pavilion-25-ips-led-hd-monitor/7295041.p;jsessionid=CFC1B22936F367EF0FC420187121AD6D.bbolsp-app03-146?id=1218838639178&skuId=7295041&st=hp%2025bw&cp=1&lp=1

TBH the quality is pretty damn nice, everything is bright, vibrant and most importantly clear. I KNOW THE Response time and BRAND NAME will THROW ALOT ALOT of people out but, i'm not having an issue with it. I'm planning to get 2 of these.

or would you guys recommend me just getting (1) 27inch monitor. the last monitor I tested out was this one:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/acer-27-34-led-hd-monitor-black/7271415.p?id=1218837481133&skuId=7271415

The quality was ok. i felt that 1080p was not enough for a monitor of that size (27inches).

Suggestions would be nice thanks.

My price range is $450 .

I would suggest saving up a little more and getting an ASUS PB278Q (1440p) but you'd need something better than a 760 to drive it during intense games, so that may not be an option.

How bad is the input lag on it.
