Why does Nvidia have so many diehard fanboys?

amd has heating and more noise issues?

because amd only recently started fixing issues with their cards

Nvidia is more expensive, but for many people (me included) the price is justified by the lack of headaches. Not to say Nvidia doesn't have its issues, but it has fewer and less frustrating issues than AMD.

Game support/optimization
General Driver ease of use/stability (you notice, I said "general", the last few driver releases have had issues)
Game performance

That is not to say ATI/AMD cards are bad, but price isn't the only consideration when buying a card. Then there's the whole ATI frame latency thing.

Because I'd rather pay slightly more for a stable card, stable drivers, reliable support and a non-second-rate product.

Seriously, all non-NVidia cards I've ever had had serious issues within a few months, and the driver instability made me want to smash the card with a hammer.

Stability, performance.

Nvidia as a whole does a hell of a lot more for the technology sector than AMD does.
