If console gaming dies will PC go with it?

PC gaming came first, PC gaming has and will always be better.
If consoles die, it'll be because of PC superiority.

That and the damn fact consoles are just becoming dumbed down PCs with less features.

It's hard enough to get console kids to buy a $400 console, let alone a weaker $500 machine.

lol jk on the $150 part.

What seems like a large portion of console users care more about graphics than actual pc dudes.
To get the level of quality they expect, $400 will sound like a dream!

If gaming ends up being pc only then I can see torrent sites exploding.
Everyone will have the latest game, developers will wonder where is the money...

Games I'm currently playing: Star Ocean 2 (Ps1), Legend of Zelda OoT (N64).

Spoken like a true troll.

NES has far better game than PC from 1985-1990. N64, PS1, and Saturn had far better games than PC from 1994-1999. Need I go on?

The PC has never had the better games. It has only had the better experience due to the hardware freedom.

You PC elitists are a riot. The only period in time where I felt the PC had the best games was the short Id/3D Realms stint in the early to mid 90's.

Everything you just said is subjective - if you were into more action oriented, arcady twitch games, the NES was the way to go, but for deeper, more cerebral strategy, RPG, management etc. games, the PC was the only platform.

So in reality, is console the life blood of pc gaming?

LOL, such ignorance. PC gaming was around when Masayuki Uemura was still working for Sharp and Nintendo was still making Game & Watches. If Nintendo hadn't decided to pollute the earth with their Famicom, the video game industry would have taken the exclusively PC path and been so much better for it. If consoles hadn't been holding innovation and progress back, we would probably be playing on holodecks by now.

Consoles suddenly vanishing from the face of the earth would be the best thing that could ever happen for video gaming.

And here we have the other side of fantasy/delusion land folks. I wish there were more rational people on here.
