Can someone recommend me a Mechanical Keyboard?

#1XarlixPosted 9/28/2013 9:58:10 PM
After ordering the switch sampler pack, I've decided I like browns.

So, on that note, can someone recommend me a good mechanical?
I'd like to keep it at $150 or less if possible.
I want something that feels sturdy and not-cheap, and that will last a long time.

Backlighting isn't necessary.

Ducky is the popular recommendation, and they are good. They are built like tanks. I'd feel comfortable using mine to fend off an burglar. Wouldn't be so comfortable with my Das keyboard.

Tiger Imports seems to be the common choice, I'm actually going to order a Shine 3 myself...as soon as I can decide on a backlighting color (meaning around the time the Shine 7 comes out I'll have it narrowed down to 3 choices)

Solid aluminum body and dashing good looks.

It's just a simple, solid product that doesn't rely on gimmicks to sell.

My question is, I notice the WASD keys are sort of slanted, are these the keys themselves or are they remoavle caps? I can see myself enjoying them for gaming, but when I'm just typing (programming) I think it'd feel a little awkward and possibly cause some errors.

Wrist rest and media keys. (They're what stand out to me, at least.)

If I ever get a mechanical keyboard (probably never), it'll be the Corsair K70.

You can swap out the red keys with regular black ones.
