What's the best HD video editing software?

#1O_Town_RulezPosted 9/29/2013 4:00:44 PM
I need a good software. I've been trying Corel VideoStudios Pro 6 and my problem with it is I can't get rid of the borders when I record Wii/VC games. Also, I can't get it to go up on the quality for Xbox 360 games.

So, what is the best HD video editing software?

Also, what is the best HD format for uploading to YouTube and editing video game footage?

The best is the one that you feel more comfortable to work with. There's no such thing as the best video editing software.

all video formats contain controls for adjusting the quality

ie you can run Mp4 at 320x240 and a terrible bitrate, or you can run it at 1080p and 30megs a second

but anyway, mp4 , h264 is a good choice for youtubin

Corel VideoStudio will only let me put MP4 to a max of 720x576. I want a video editing software that will let me go up on the quality and let me get rid of the black borders.

Also, Corel won't let me use H264.

This, my friend is a professional video editor and he has used several HD video editing software and the one he finds the most comfortable to use is the one he considers the best.

The best HD video editing software is open to opinion, but Sony Vegas and Adobe Premiere are high up on the list. If you are looking for free software, your options are sadly limited. As for the best format for uploading to YouTube, most would recommend H.264. I know from experience that Sony Vegas will let you render H.264 to MP4 container, crop off the borders and output to 1080p (or even higher if you want) and I think it may have a free trial available.
