I have one because I can't be asked to rebuy have of my library on steam.
I stopped watching comedy on TV when I found the jimquisition and zero punctuation.

Optical drives do allow you (dvd or bd) to avoid the download times (downloading patches takes less time, after all, than downloading entire programs). So there's that, I suppose.

You should always get the drivers from the manufacturer's website if possible, as they will likely be newer.

Always a good idea to keep a usb dvd drive around, in case the need ever arises.

I always have an optical drive, making me feel old and ****. Need to watch dvds or do something. Copying films and the odd backup. Plus make my own mixes.
But then I have an old stereo that doesn't read mp3s in my car. Oh and win 7 .iso

I still have an optical drive on my desktop to rip FLAC files from CDs. I took the one out of my laptop because it wasn't needed.

I'd just get a drive since they're so cheap.
PS4 has blast processing.
