Razor Blade PC a good idea?

You can find those same specs on laptops under $1k. However, if you simply aren't willing to compromise portability, it is the best "ultrabook" for gaming.

You're going to get a lot of "omg u wasted ur moneys!" posts from people if you ever mention you use a Razer Blade.
The 14" model is fine and works for portability and for gaming.

If you don't care about the size and battery life of your laptop, snag something like the Lenovo the fat casper posted earlier in the topic.

Unless you need a crazy powerful laptop for some reason, get a nice desktop and a laptop. If $1,800 is your budget, spend $1,000 - $1,300 on a desktop and the rest on a laptop. You'll likely be getting better performance for the desktop and a fairly portable laptop.
