I'll get straight to the point, a good friend of mine send me some HIMYM videos in my pendrive and her computer is going nuts. I didn't do anything weird with my laptop since I haven't gone online in months but I did transfer a resume to my local library computer and I imagine it must had every virus known to mind.

I told her to make a system restore but she has a Windows 8 PC and I don't know if it works the same way. Any ideas of how to restore her computer without losing any files?

Windows Key > "restore":(Type search for it) > Settings > Create a Restore Point > System Restore

But if you just wanna click to it:

Control Panel > System > Advanced system settings > System Protection Tab > System Restore
GT: Fission MaiIed (L is i); PSN: FissionXMailed (L is L); BNet: FissionMailD#1973; Steam ID: gfreak001
No "i" in team, but there is in fail.

Is System Refresh viable?

Asking for help after pirating HIMYM videos? For shame.
