It's obviously going to be a CPU-heavy game. All games with large, open environments are. They can't make it that demanding, though, since PS4 and Xbone need to be able to run it. Hence the incredibly weak quadcore min req.(first gen phenom lol?)

Maybe it'll be like GTA V where it only renders a 20ft radius on consoles, and then PC gets the proper draw distances.

Recommended ultra GPU is only a 670? Weird.

"Only"? the 670 is still a powerhouse GPU... it's the 5th highest ranked GPU on Passmark...

Passmark is bad. Unigine or Firestrike are much better benchmarks.

The 670 is roughly on par with the 760 (a $250 card) and the 7950 (a $200 card) in performance. In other words, it's a decent midrange card. Not quite what I'd expect for an 'ultra recommended' card at this point. I'd really expect 770/7970 or better for that honor.

It might not be a strong test... but I'm all for ways to compare/rank hardware.
It's not like the rankings they provide there are incorrect... they are pretty accurate.

3Dmark good real performance... but their leaderboard is filled with systems with 3x SLI overclocked cards. Not a good display of individual card performance.

Anyway, a mid range card usually is good reference point for playing games on Ultra at 30-50FPS... and that's probably what Ubi is talking about.

The passmark rankings are almost completely incorrect for the top end as far as AMD compared to Nvidia and dual GPU cards go.

And there's a filter for single cards in 3DMarků

lol @ everyone going nuts over the 8 core thing

even in the unlikely case that all the cores are used perfectly, the performance difference isn't going to be all that great, because intel's cpus have a huge lead over amd in per core performance

Ah. I've never seen that filter on 3Dmark. My bad.

It'd be fun if it had fog like Violence Killer.
