Question about recording with MSI Afterburner.

Are there any options to auto-record from a microphone when starting the recording? I looked at the Audio Capture properties, but I can't tell if that's for in-game audio or mic audio.

Also, with a 3770k, MSI 780, and 16GB RAM, would recording 720p while playing 1080p be reasonably smooth?

Cool, thanks. And that will make it start recording the mic as soon as it starts recording the screen?

Ah sorry, I've never actually attempted to record anything with my mic on - Will play around with those settings soonish though.

I actually have my mic on "Listen to this device" at all times so I know if it's picking up my voice right or not. Got used to hearing myself in skype calls and such so now it feels wrong to not hear the mics feed. That's how I usually record my voice in games since it's actually playing the audio - but like I said, I will plink around with the settings soon.

I tried that once when recording a PS3 game, and it drove me bonkers hearing my voice echoing in my head. Made it hard to concentrate.

Yes.

Thanks. I'll still do a test run to make sure though.

Anyways, with a 3770k, MSI 780, 16GB RAM, and recording to an external HDD, will most stuff still run smoothly at 1080p while recording at 720p?

Should be just fine - If you are uploading to Youtube record at 30 FPS, as that's all youtube displays anyways. Can save yourself HDD space, time uploading, and time processing this way.

All right, Turning Audio source #1 to WASAPI playback device, then to what your speakers are (In my case, "Speakers (2- Logitech G35 Headset)" as I have a USB headset), then Audio source #2 to WASAPI capture device, then to what your microphone is (In my case again, "Microphone (2- Logitech G35 Headset)") it gives you voice over while your playing without you having to hear it whilst recording.

I suggest playing with the mics gain/adjusting the games volume though, as I was a little quiet in my test with my audio default settings.

Still processing as I upload.

Alright, cool. I'll dink around with it after work tonight. Thanks again.
