Do mods work on FFVII steam version?

If yes, does anyone have a list of mods to make the game look as good as possible? Already played it on PS1, just wanted to replay it now that its been years.

From what i recall from the last time this topic came up.

You can use the original ff7 mods but you have to change the save structure, (don't recall how) this disables steam cloud and achievements until you go back to the steam version. (cus saves are different)

So the instructions here state to not install the game under the Program Files folder. That's where my current Steam library is, and I really don't feel like moving the whole thing for one game.

When I install a game though, I have the option to create a new Steam library on my 2nd hard drive. Will this work in the sense that I basically would have 2 different locations for Steam games and it won't effect any of my games I currently have installed in the Program Files drive?

Right, you can have multiple steam folders on different drives (for those games that support it anyway). So if your main steam folder is on C: and you want to make a new steam folder on D: then it only counts for those games you install on D: (rather than moving the whole library).

Alternately, you could create a directory junction so that it would appear to be somewhere else but would still point to the default location.

If you haven't installed it yet though, the first option would be the simplest one (if FF7 supports it)
