Did Dice not include many of the visuals in the BF4 Beta? It looks like poo.

Running on the ultra preset, max fov and 2560x1440. It doesn't look good at all, so I'm assuming even tho the options say it's on ultra, it really isn't or did Dice do a CoD on us?

I'm not sure but running it on ultra it still looked awful. I don't think they included all the textures or something.

One thing I noticed that made the game look really odd, when the skyscraper collapses, it covers the whole map in this whitish-grey dust that makes the whole map go one colour.

The textures aren't final, but mostly it's because of the cloud of dust after the tower falls

Dice said the beta runs at a lower resolution than what the game will be and its not optimized.

People freak out and its called a beta for a reason.

I will find it, but I found this for now

"This beta is actually an older version of the game currently in production at the DICE office, as it had to be submitted for testing and certification before going live. Overall the test will focus on the underlying infrastructure server loads, matchmaking systems, server browsers, and game mode rotations running at high capacity in the public."

They said the same thing in the article I read, saying it was an older build not optimized and lower res to test server loads etc.

I don't think people here are freaking out. Just making valid points that some areas look really bad.

Again on their page

"I would also like to point out that gameplay is still being balanced, and that the beta is not representative of the final quality of the game. The beta version of the game is actually older than the version we are currently working on at the DICE office, since the beta had to be submitted for testing and certification before it can go live."
