Broadband keeps going out. Any tips?

Typing this on my phone, which has spotty service, hence why I haven't taken a ton of time to try to crawl through the web for answers. Basically, my internet service keeps dying, and for a while turning the router and modem off/on worked, but now that's failing me, too, no matter how long I leave them off. I did a factory reset on the router yesterday, and that seemed to work until this morning, at least, but I don't want to keep trying that.

Do any of you have any idea what could be causing it? Windows just says there's a connection problem somewhere, which is obviously no real help. I hope it's not the ISP's doing, but Time Warner bought out my old provider recently and I've never had this problem until the past week or so. If anyone has any ideas, I'd love the help. Thanks.

Call up your ISP and ask if there are any problems on their end

If it's not a screw up on the ISP's end, your modem and/or router are probably dying. Pick up a replacement and see if that solves the problem.
